I purposely picked my brown because of the way she looks and her liveliness to her siblings. Makes them all the more special to me. I'm not a perfectionist ☺️
Is split scutes an issue then? I have my Burmese brown with lots of split scutes that look like a zip down her shell. Also my smallest pancake has an extra scute too. They are too young to tell sex yet. Just wondering if anyone believes if this is just classed as deformities in tortoises? Thanks...
He did indeed! My tortoise was extremely pleased with her self, she had crazy eyes +++++++ lol
On serious note though they will bite it's just in their nature being meat eaters just makes them blood thirsty! & they do just see us as maybe a piece of chicken. Look forward to seeing your babies...

My son got bitten by my brown and he bled. He was younger however and climbed up to her enclosure being a curious 3 year old and she took a bite at his finger. In saying this he has never put his hand in from of her again! He now turns to me and says mummy you out the food in now...

I just got two pancakes last weekend and love them! Had cakes years ago
I also have Burmese brown too lovely tortoises. I'm in the UK and in the hunt for more pancakes but they are so rare.
