    Animal Plastics T100

UPDATE/FULL REVIEW: after keeping my adult redfoot in this for over a year I can safely say this is a great enclosure! LIGHTING: I have 4 incandescent fixtures installed but only ever use 3 at the most for UVA. Since it is a 4 ft tall enclosure I use 150 watt bulbs to make sure the heat...

    Shadow obsession?

The jolly egg was a bust but i do have a big tortoise plushie he took interest to for a few minutes. It still wasn't enough to deter him from his shadow though.

    Shadow obsession?

That's what I'm thinking. I just don't know how to deter him from it if it's stressing him out. He enjoys being out of his indoor enclosure. Even runs to me to be let out for his supervised hour but all he does the entire time is chase his shadow.

    Shadow obsession?

I've opened the door for him before but he doesn't seem to care where he is. He even does this outside in huge open spaces. He fixates on the walls or privacy fences and searches for his shadow. If he doesn't see it he walks the perimeter until he does.

    Shadow obsession?

Hi all, I've had my rescue redfoot for a little over 2 years now and I've recently noticed he has a bit of an obsession with his shadow. At first I thought it was just pacing, a habit seen a lot in torts but after some time I've realized he's looking for his shadow. I do supervised indoor free...

    Target training?

My redfoot wouldn't ever try to bite anything anyway unless it actually is food. he's a strange one. given the choice to run around the yard or eat his favorite foods he'll choose adventure every time. He straight up refuses any food if he has new things to explore and is extremely cautious if I...

    Target training?

I'm not looking for him to bite the target, just follow and touch. Different people target train differently, my goal is to get him to go back to his indoor enclosure without picking him up after baths, being outdoors, ect. to prevent stress.

    Target training?

I've recently been looking into reptile enrichment and came across target training. I want to try to target train my redfoot but he isn't really food driven and he's around 26 years old. Old shell wound opening back up?

Awesome. I started getting worried when the crack started getting bigger and going down his side but if all that's eventually going to fall off it makes sense for it to start opening up.
