    What floor temp is need for Adult (40lb) sulcata?

    If wind can blow under the house then it will lose a lot of heat that way. Block the under side to seal the space under the floor and help insulate. I highly recommend a heat mat made for large tortoises. Check on Amazon.

    Absolutely correct. Sulcatas do not hibernate. This tortiose has been slowly dying every winter. Probably has multiple organ failure at this time.

    Texas Sage Edible?

    I have read through some threads and do not think I have a clear answer about Texas Sage. My question.....Is Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens) safe for my Sulcata to eat? I am in Central Texas and looking for more plant variety in my backyard that is safe. Thank you, Laura
