I wouldn't really recommend that since the tortoises will try to climb it.. Tortoise surprisingly can actually climb and could hurt themselves getting caught on the meatal. you could try lining the sides of the cage with some wood.
you could try using a transparent Tarp.. Something like what they use on those greenhouses and hang it from one post to another post to deflect the rain. What type of enclosure do you have? It will help if i can get an idea so i could give you some ideas :-)
@Kaliman1962 The biggest one I have is about 7 Inches, and the smallest one out of the breeding group (Male) is about 5.2 inches. I purchased these guys from Chris L. I also have one that I got from Kenan Harkin (Kamp Kenan on YouTube) he's going to be 3 years old next month!

@KevinGG wow! awesome! how would you recommend to encourage them to breed? i moved my greek tortoises indoors since its way to cold for them to be housed outside.
Look who's up early! Whenever the sun starts to warm up the rocks inside thier cave, it triggers them to get up and bask!
I havent noticed any breeding behaviour yet.. So far its been in the mid 70ºF's

Hello! In this thread i'll be posting my progress in breeding my Greek tortoises (Testudo Graeca Ibera). I got them from Chris Leone about A month ago. I dont expect any breeding this year since I barely got them, but if i do see any breeding behaviour i'll most likely post it! Wish me luck...
