Hi All, I have noticed a white thick line around my torts shell, I'm not sure what it is but I'm concerned.

Hi all, today as I was bathing my little guy I noticed white lines on his top and bottom shell. And I'm concerned what it might be or be from, I was hoping someone could help me. They appear to be sort soft in a way.

So I shouldn't have a problem with this substrate, and it is good for my tort?

I'm just nervous because I'm reading and a lot of people are saying that they have found some little bugs in the substrate, and that is the last thing i want. But the majority of people who have had this issue is people that own snakes, I haven't seen anyone with a tortoise and this problem.

I bought Reptibark today, and just put it in my torts enclosure and he is just burrowing, what does this mean? Is reptibark a good substrate? I have heard it is good then i heard it is horrible. I need someone with the most reliable information.

Any of those three are good?

Hi everyone, Quick question, I'm going to change my russian tort's substrate to orchard bark or reptibark. I was leaning more towards reptibark because it holds the humidity. But I wanted others input, thank you!

Thank you so much, I was thinking reptibark for the winter because it keeps humidity in. I will ask around!

Good news! Urates came! And they were the healthiest I've ever seen them. They were so smooth and not gritty what so ever.

He loves it! Throughout the day he's always eating it. It took him a long time to do that, but I think he realized he could eat it after 6 months haha

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if my little guys shell looked healthy. I've had him for about six months and his shell was a bit more of a mess than now. I think it got healthier but I just wanted someone else's input on how his shell looks now.

So do you think the coco fiber & moss, or ochard bark would be the best choice?

Orchid maybe? I looked it up and there's only orchid.

Where would I find this?

What do you suggest using for a substrate?
