Hi guys,
Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but it's the closest that my camera will allow me to get.
I noticed a lot of these bugs around the plants, orchid bark and in some of the cococoir within my RT's enclosure.
Is anyone able to help identify them and what the next course of...
Hey guys upgrading the Tortoise table for indoors very soon. Could you guys give me some ideas for the sides of the table to be made out of. I haven't much of an idea what woods to use or if there is anything other than wood that would work?
Within the past week it has been a little less varied as we had a lot of rain and it killed a lot of the options around for a short while. We use a normal basking light as I used to use a red one but as of a few weeks ago changed it after being told it wasn't a good idea. And for the bulb it is...
My Russian Tortoise has recently started eating a little of his substrate and the various extras in his outdoor and indoor enclosures. I have read this is sometimes because they aren't getting something they need in their diet. Does anyone know or could recommend a good mineral supplement?
Hey guys, has anyone got any pictures of their humid hides and places their tortoises sleep. I have a horsfield tortoise and need some inspiration for a new shelter.
I have this weed growing outside of my house and around my local area. I have tried to identify it but I'm really poor with plants and haven't been able to come up with anything. If anyone could help that would be great!

Thanks for the reply!
I've been told that horsfields do not need any extra light for a night time because they are used to drops to around 15 degrees. Therefore I wasn't sure whether to get a basking or a CHE. I already have a UVB bulb
I have an adult horsfield and at the moment we have a red heat lamp and I have been told that this is bad for him as it will confused the little guy. So today I am going out to buy a new light. Do I buy a basking light or a CHE and if so what WATT do I need?
Is there a particular reason why the coloured bulb is bad? But I will definitely look into changing it once I get down to the shop near mine. What is the difference between a basking light and a CHE?
I use the long uv bulb but unfortunately I can't remember the name, the box is packed up in the spare cupboard but I know I definitely got the right one.
And for a basking light I am using the Reptiland infrared heat spot light. I have recently been thinking about changing this because I'm not...
Update!
Gave Albert a bath this morning and used the saline solution and everything was back to normal. His eyes cleaned up and there's no bubbles, no redness or inflammation. I will bath him again tonight and tomorrow morning to make sure and keep an extra close eye on him over the next few...
