I noticed tiny white bugs all over the glass of my tortoise table. I only saw 1 on my sulcata. They're too small for my phone to focus, so I put them under a microscope. I'm assuming mites, but are they just in the eco earth, or are they attacking my sulcate?
I'm setting up a 50g zoo med low boy for my young sulcate tortoise. I'm looking at getting the Zilla Slimline UVB T8 Fluorescent Fixture... With the light being less than 10" above the tortoise, should I get the recommended Desert 50 UVB, or the Tropical 25 UVB?

I was curious about the same thing. (size when tortoise is safe to live outdoors) I live near downtown Edmond OK, and have a sulcata about 2 years old. I know that I have raccoons, possums, skunks, stray cats, and hawks. Possibly other hazardous creatures.
Also, Is it safe to leave it outside...
