How big should an indoor enclosure be?

Hey tortoise fans! I've had my baby Greek spur-thighed tort for several months now. Her enclosure is okay, but I want it to be bigger and better. She seems to keep trying to escape this one, and I want her to be as comfortable as possible. I am going to be ordering a custom built wooden box...

This is amazing! Just motivated me to do the same for my Greek! One question though, how did you stick the storage boxes together? Duck-tape? Does the substrate not fall out in between little gaps? And how about moving the whole enclosure, is it possible? Great work by the way, looks amazing!!

    DIY Indoor tortoise enclosure elements

Well she kinda digs her own under-moss hideouts, but I'm hoping she just hasn't gotten used to it since I put it in yesterday :-/

    DIY Indoor tortoise enclosure elements

Hey! So I was looking for a thread like this and couldn't find one. Have any of you been using polymer clay for creating terrarium "furniture"? Hey everyone. Greek spur-thighed baby tort owner here. I need lighting advice. As I mentioned before, (and I'm getting annoying mentioning it all the time) there are no pet shops for reptiles in my counrty. Now at first that doesn't seem that bad, but not being able to find a UVB lamp and a...

    Welcome to Tortoise Cribs

So, if anyone remembers Kaia the baby Greek spur-thighed tortsie, I had made a vivarium for her, and it was a beginner's one. (as shown in the photo above) However, I am pleased to say that she has had her crib upgraded. It's bigger, classier and comfier. Voilà The heat and UV lamp are going to...

The bacon equivalent - lettuce. If someone calls tortoises slow, that's because they haven't seen this spur-thighed Greek goddess get a glimpse at lettuce.

    Baby tortoise inactive, help?!

Whenever I try placing him in a bit of warm water (in a separate tank) he gets scared and tries to get out by scratching the tank... And I can't put water in the terrarium other than in a food bowl. :/
