I have a chronic problem with fruit flies in my tortoise house. Does anyone have suggestions on how to deal with this. I've tried most "conventional" approaches. Has anyone ever hung a bug zapper indoors for such a thing? Is that even safe?

Surprise in the incubator this morning. Homeana egg hatching. Strange thing is that that egg has been incubating <60 days.

Some of the Bells that have hatched here this year. The variation among these guys is really interesting to me. There is variation in the females that produced them so I guess it makes sense...

This was a surprise today. I had given up on these eggs months ago. This is the first redfoot I've ever had hatch here. Yippee!!

Nice surprise tonight. This female has already nested this season. That was a double clutch which is rare in any of the Pyxis in my experience.

This is a very good Father's Day. This will be a first for me here. I got a bunch of eggs this year but only 3 or 4 are developing. Hopefully this season will be more successful. I've got plans to tweak my incubation regimen. We'll see what happens...
