I would put money on it being a female not a male.

My ornate loves tomatoes. Defiantly do not starve your turtle to try and get it to eat other things offer it a variety of foods and whatever it eats it eats. I have had turtles that lived almost exclusively on worms. Good luck

I don't believe it is her nose that is messed up but her eye blends in with her nose making it look like a big nose.

Great outdoor space. I feel boxies should always be kept outdoors when possible.

Be cautious of feeding her on that type of bedding if she ends up eating to much of it when feeding it can bind up inside them. Other then that it's great for digging in just keep it moist. Best luck

Its annoying to hear over and over about people taking turtles out of the wild because they think they can't survive on their own. Turtles have been around longer then we have and wild turtles don't need to be "rescued" we already destroy the habitats they live in and run them over with cars...

A mud or musk species would be best for your size setup.

Just let it be and you should be ok. I have had the same thing happen before and they ended up being ok. It absorbed the yolk and crawled out when it was ready. Good luck

If you provide a place to hibernate you would not need to bring the turtle inside.
