    Vitashell?

Has anyone used this Vitashell? Just rescued this 3 year old guy and he is perking up and doing well now after soaks and sun. Today is day 3 and I have noticed some shell damage? The keratin seems flaky in certain areas. Should I do anything or just let it be? Thank you.

    New to Russian Torts

I have Leopards and today we rescued an estimated 3 year old Russian. I felt so bad for him and he was in a bit of rough shape, but in good spirits. The shell is hard but doesn't look as pretty as what I have seen from photos of Russians, so I know he needs some extra TLC. He is quite dry and I...

I think the two smaller ones are sulcatas but unsure. Not sure what other one is. Needing expertise before I think about adopting them...

    Grocery shopping for the torts...

Got so excited today when I decided to check out Savemart for tort grocery shopping. They have a plethora of organic greens and such a variety including dandelion greens. Am pleased I can offer them a better variety while I am waiting on seeds to arrive and start the tort garden. I am so excited...

    Outdoor set up started

Started Ninja and Nertle's outdoor set up. This is just for a couple hours when I can babysit them. Set this next to my garden so it's a win win with the nice weather...I can garden and keep an eye on them at same time, and they can get some fresh air and sun. Got some seeds specifically for...

    Breeding from the same clutch?

I have been doing a lot of reading here and from a couple of books. My babies are from the same clutch and I have no clue on sex yet due to being so young. Nothing that I have read or found specifies that if they breed, it is okay from same clutch. I am not necessarily wanting to breed them down...

    New Leopard Torts Mom

Hello everyone. I have 2 leopard torts that are a little over a month old. The pet store had them on bark only and today I was able to get a better substrate with 50/50 play sand and coconut fiber. Added spagnum moss as well. My smaller one, Ninja seemed to be a bit stressed today with the...
