Thank you all, well, I'll try to not stay away too long from here this time then....
Been busy cleaning out everything for the indoor season here, done the incubator too yesterday.
I will post some pics as soon as they move in !
Greetings all,
I havent been on this forum for the last couple of years,
and while looking through all RF threads, I don't seem to find
any of my old friends in here. Where have they all gone ?
(JD, N2TORTS, Mike Taylor, matt41gb, etc)
Anyway, I changed the substrate and cleaned out my indoor...
Sorry for your loss... The only thing I notice, is that he looked very young. From the plastron shot it seems like the yolk sac hardly has been absorbed, like he was only 1-2 weeks old ? And the new growth lines on his carapace seems a bit "deep", like he has been kept too dry ? I might be wrong...
There is no problem of housing even tropical species of tortoises i Sweden during the summer half of the year !
I'e been doing it for some twenty odd years by now...
I always bring them in during the night however and have recently added some extra heat for them outside

I have been searching for years for two females to my very old yellow Redfoot without any luck so far...

And I actually don't know...
Congrats!!! You've got yourself a Colombian Redfoot, mate ! A tortoise like that with completely yellow head and yellow feet, is most likely native to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in Colombia. I've got an old male like that, and I've been trying to get a female for him for...
Ok folks, here is the deal...
This evening one of my smaller females layed two beatutiful eggs, so I picked them up without cleaning or anything and just put them into the same substrate as in the enclosure she layed them in. Then just put the container into the incubator. So now the experiment...
That Redfoot with a yellow head and yellow feet, is most likely native to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in Colombia. Here is my old male, that I've been trying to find two girlfriends for for years now... I had actually contact with a local breeder in Colombia a couple of...
