    Little Surprise!!!

I've done a pretty thorough search in the enclosure and don't see any more. There are so many hides that it is possible they are out there but I'm beginning to doubt it. I'm making sure there is plenty of food out there daily so if they are out there they have a chance. As you know with 6...

    Little Surprise!!!

Came home from work yesterday and while in my outdoor enclosure found a little surprise! Had no idea she laid eggs and no idea whether or not more little guys are out there hiding. How many are normally in a clutch? I have 2 males and 4 females in the enclosure and it is quite large.

Can't seem to get a straight answer on this. Can russian tortoises eat the common Pothos Plant that is available for sale in almost any Lowes or Home Depot? Thanks for your help!

What is your favorite thing about your russian tortoise?

I love how when I enter their enclosure they come running to me. They then get so excited they either climb on my feet or try to take a nibble of my toe! They know a good meal is coming their way at that point.

I'm originally from Chicago so I know exactly what you mean. I never take living here for granted. Great place to raise tortoises! Mine stay out all year long.

I live in the Phoenix area and 2 of mine came out a couple of days ago. I also felt it was because of this "screwy" weather.

    Waking up from hibernation today...

I live in Sunny AZ and it has been a warm January. Today temps were in the low 80's. My little guys have been hibernating since mid October and today one of them came out for a peek. Anybody else in AZ noticing their torts coming out this early? Usually they come out mid Feb to early March.

    Insect Control

I have 4 Russian Tortoises I keep outside in a nice very large enclosure (I live in AZ so they live outside year round). I've recently realized I have a cricket problem in the numerious hideaways I've dug/built for them. When you have a cricket problem...you soon have a scorpion problem as...

    Sulcata Female for Sale

Hey Guys - thanks for the feedback. Let me clarify a few things because I think several assumptions have been made: 1. I'm waiting at least 2 weeks for the owner to contact me. I've posted numerous flyers around the neighborhood and will continue to do so. I agree with Sharkstar - if my...
