HAving some nice weather today so I put Dipp and Dott outside. I wound up using that plastic tub for them to hide/sleep in maybe it will discourage them from digging too much, they didn't dig much last year but who knows.
Of course Dipp went right inside and kept peeking to see if I had left...
He is starting to get some marbling, kind of neat. It's also pretty cool that he has lost a lot of shyness. Now when the lights go on he hauls butt out of his hide box and sits in his water dish staring at the food dish, I gotta be quick or I get the evil tort eye.
Just because...
Decided to let the two hellions check out the pen even though it isn't done. I tossed the rubbermaid tub out there for them to get a little shade while they are out there for the couple of hours they'll be out there. I still need to figure out what to do to block off the corners and something...
So I originally had no intentions of getting anymore Torts. Dipp, Dott, and Cricket are, until today the only ones I need until I become a somehow become a multi-millionaire and can buy a giant plot of land and get a herd of Aldabs to sit and stare at. Well today a friend of mine gave me a call...
I have been away a while, mainly because I have been back in school. Having fun and what not with that. I do have a son due next month so that's a kind of frightening that has kept me busy as well. Other than that I've changed up some of my snake breeding projects and we have added a Leopard...
I ordered some Hardy Hibiscus seeds from a guy on ebay and he sent a bag of free seeds. The bag says Coreopsis Tinctoria - dwarf red. Basically I just want to know if I can plant them or if I should just toss 'em out. Thanks in advance
Eric
I put my Sunglow corn with this Gold Dust girl and within 1 minute and 30 seconds they were locked up. No matter how many times I breed snakes and no matter the species Corn snakes to me are still the quickest to just get down to business. lol
First introduction
On minute together...
I had the two brats outside and my camera near by so I figured I would snap a few pics and show you all how big they have gotten. They are chow hounds eating up all the grass, mulberry, cactus, and Mazuri they can get a hold of. Not to mention they love their cuttle bones :)...
Cleaning out my memory card so I figured I'd post some pics :)
Birds
Rose Breasted cockatoo (with a pair of B 'n G Macaws in the background if you look close)
Blue Black Masked Lovebirds (almost weaned)
Baby Eclectus (Male)
Another baby Eclectus

Just to lighten things up. There were only 4 Shell-less produced, so they are kinda rare.
I was making candies for family and friends around here and ran out of chocolate so I made some shell-less turtles. Then I realized I was kind of a nerd and took this picture. But I'm pretty sure...
I was cleaning snake cages, looked over and this is what I saw.
Here a a few less cropped pics, he really likes his calcium :)
Here he is actually trying to eat it off of himself
Here are some updated pics of the two of them, it's crazy to see how fast they are growing now. It is strange to me how different their shells are turning out as they have been raised exactly the same, they live together, but I do know Dott seems to eat more of the powered Cacium then Dipp does...
Caught this the other day, they have been locked up now for 4 days straight. :) I was gonna play some Marvin Gaye for them but Boondox seems to do the trick around here, my young male Sunglow boa tried to get my female normal i the mood too.
Regular
Now the porn shot lol
I missed it by a few seconds but here is Dott moments after chewing on a turd. Keep in mind he has a large plate of greens and Mazuri not 8 inches away from him. He is getting to be too funny. Dipp is still not interested in people but thats ok, as long as she/he grows up healthy I'll be happy :)
OK is there such a thing as too much calcium? I have noticed that Dott seems to be eating alot of calcium compared to Dott. He has his face buried in the calcium dish almost every other day, he actually takes his Spring mix over to the calcium dish on a regular basis to eat it, which really...
Well ever since I started doing everything you guys suggested they have been growing like crazy, They have each gained 20+ grams and are enjoying being able to dig. The main questions I have are:
1. Is the lightening between their scutes normal, it almost looks marbleized, I did the best...
The bartender last night, after a farewell celebration no less, invited us to her house to get some cactus pads. I really believe she just wanted to watch 3 drunk guys wrestle with a 5 foot tall prickly beast, one of the guys assumed it was to get him to her house but her girlfriend soundly put...
