Thank you Tom.
I do have a pond with a river in my yard. He walks in it and sometimes drinks but does not Soak. Is that's okay or do I need to make him soak ? I have noticed when I make him only eat from the yard and the hay he comes to the back door and rams up against it with his shell in...
I like your idea on building an enclosure however it would only give him 1000sq feet of room. Is that ok for an 80 pound man. We are moving in 2 years and looking at 5 acres so it will not be forever.
Hello everyone,
I recently adopted a Sully. He is 80 pounds. I am having a hard time feeding him. He eats everything in garden pulse store vegetables and greens. We have grass that he keeps clipped short. I also get Grass hay from a feed store(he does not eat much). I can't keep up with him...
Hi everyone. I let my 2 yr old sully Dozer to play with my 12 yr old sully, Sulki. Sulki is a male and became very excited that Dozer was outside. He started humping a rock Dozer was next to. Is this just dominance or is Dozer a girl?
Thank you everyone for the info. I can not find a mini oil heater local. They are all to tall. Anyone ever use a basebord heater? Or place the oil heater on its side? His house is only 24 inches tall.

can't adjust perfectly. They are very resilient secondary to the life experiences they already had. all you can do is remind them that they are safe and that they are loved. dependent on the age group that you accept will depend on the struggles that you will endure. people always think that...
My husband and I do foster care in NM. We have 2 adopted and have had 6 kids in our home. If is so rewording and fun. I love my kids more than anything and adoption is amazing
I am getting a 60 pound sulcata tomorrow from Hawaii. I have been working on night time housing. He has a large 5×8 ft heavily insulated house with a 2ft door that can be closed. I purchased a ceramic heater and the floor has a large amount of hay. I am concerned it is not going to stay above...
Is an underground house a good or bad idea for winter? I am getting prepared to welcome home a 60 pound sulcata and want to make sure he is safe and happy this winter.
Email [email protected] . Do you think railroad ties would keep him in? I was thinking stacking them 2 high. Any low $ options just for this winter, better setup next yr.
I am working on a large enclosure. this may take me a few weeks to have completed for him is that okay? Can you tell me a little bit more about him and why you are rehoming him? is he friendly?
Hello,
Questin for you all. My 2 sulcatas are slowing way down on eating. They are 1 year old and housed inside. They get a variety of foods including grass (they dont always eat the grass). It's starting to get cold outside mid 60's day and 30's at night. are they just slowing down because of...
They came home 2 months ago from a breader in Arizona. I do have them together, I did not know that was bad. The zoo in NM has 3 together. They do not fight and they like to sleep together. I will work on another enclosure, if that is what is best.
