I agree. She probably would want to escape more if she could see outside the enclosure. Maybe cover the fence with wood or something?
It looks like it's a nice size for her though!
I would like to learn more about the care of reticulated pythons. I've tried to research but there's not that much info that I can find! Here's some stuff I need to know about adults:
Minimum tank size
Approx. mice per week
Best substrate
How old until 'mature'
Temperament
Etc.
Sorry I know some...
I agree with Yvonne. You could try to build your own with plexiglass but again its not the best idea to make a clear habitat because he will get stressed out by not being able to go through the wall.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while! I don't know what it actually is but I trust you know what your talking about! I actually did give Wally some when I saw @Maro2Bear but he wouldn't touch it-- thank goodness!
I think it's a nice size but aquariums are a pain to clean. It doesn't have much ventilation so you might want to be cautious with heat and humidity. It is a nice size (If their measurements are correct), but it might be cheaper to build your own.
You can get a squirt bottle, or just pour water on the substrate and mix it all up. I use the ReptaFogger to keep the humidity up in my enclosure along with keeping his soil damp/moist.
I used cypress mulch for the longest time because a sales person at the pet store recommended it. I had trouble keeping the humidity up with my red foot. Its great for Russians tho! I think I'm going to try orchids bark! Thanks everyone!
Hi! I am looking to find a different substrate for my red footed tortoise. I have been using coconut fiber but it gets his food and water really dirty. I have heard topsoil and playground sand are good? I'm worried it might get into his eyes or something!
Just looking for some...
