    Sleeping more eating less.

Well, I increased the temps, cut out the D3, starting misting more and changed the substrate (coco fiber) and sure enough they were more active. Thank you so much for all your help. This is by far the most friendly, helpful forum I have ever been on, thank you!

    Sleeping more eating less.

Thank you all your suggestions and advice. I have been using Repcal with D3. I will get a calcium without D3, mist and soak more often and they should bounce back to normal. To answer a few questions, they are 3.5 and 4" long, not sure about weight, I'll have to get a scale. The substrate is...

    Sleeping more eating less.

I have two little Leapords that normally are fine, but I'm a little concerned. One of them I purchased last summer (rescue) with soft shell made a come back. They have proper lighting with a heating spot of 90-93. I noticed the sleeping area was getting cooler at night so the other day I put...

    Carapace- hatchling question. . . .

I often hear of shells being lopsided and from what I know babies sometimes have soft shells. The key is proper nutrition. If you know that he is getting a variety of greens etc. and the right supplements, lighting and such the shell will harden and he/she will be healthy.

    Hatchling- gulping?

Mine are older, ie. six months plus and they do it everyday. I'm sure he/she will grow up big and strong.

Help with new guy (soft shell)

Thank you to both of you, much appreciated! I will soak him every day until he improves. He hasn't defecated and I know that he was getting a less than adequate diet on an irregular basis. Like I said before, as long as he is sleeping, drinking and eating, I think he will make a comeback...

I've been looking for another Leapord for a while now. Yesterday, I went to a reptile show here in MI and found a gorgeous blond. In a way, he is an expensive rescue and here is why. As many of you can relate, I couldn't just leave him there with the vendor. I asked him what he's been...
