Hello fellow members;
I have 4 females and 1 male Egyptians. I want to add another male they won’t breed for some reason. Hoping the extra male will add male competition to the colony and get breeding going. Hopefully someone has an extra male they can part with?
Thank you for reading, Gerry
I have three females and one male Egyptian Tortoises. Male isn't of breeding age but one of the females might be. So someone has been on a digging and noticed a couple deep ditches being dug out. What would posses one of them to dig so deep could it be egg laying or something else? All...

I got a curious question is it okay to have a loner tortoise? I got four Egyptians and the one tends to be very much always on her own doing her own thing. The other three bask, eat and sleep together. She always wakes and sleeps at different times and will eat when the others are not around...
Here is my family of four. The two in the center came in the mail yesterday. I like how each is a little bit different in color. There names in order from left to right Munchies, Onions, Peppers and Butters.
I was wondering how often could I feed my Egyptians Butterhead Lettuce? They go crazy for the stuff never see this kind of enthusiasm for other food items.
I just want to do a roll call on who keeps and breeds Egyptian Tortoises in this forum? Really want to know how many breeders there are here?
Thank you for your responses, Gerry
Hello;

Baby Egyptians recently hatched at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. Cute little video of them on youtube. These hatchlings look very healthy and adorable.

Hello there;
Curious question for all you Egyptian owners out there. If you had to rely on the produce isle of the local grocer for your torts food what would you choose for them? I am really curious what everyone does for the winter. Finally got too cold here in Portland Oregon and wiped...
This is a pic of both my Egyptian Tortoises the brighter colored one is Munchies he is temp sexed to be male. The smaller dulled colored one if Butters temp sexed to be female. The dramatic difference between the two is amazing I wonder if Butters is part Testudo Werneri?
Just got my new Egyptian Tortoise today her name is Butters. So strong and healthy starting eating right away. Just had to share the joy of a new Tortoise.[hr]
