    Young Female Sulcata for Adoption

They were captive bred in Illinois and bought by a guy in WI. I don't want to release them and possibly expose them or the native turtles to any new diseases.

    Young Female Sulcata for Adoption

She is still available. I would prefer for her to be an o my tortoise as they can get aggressive towards eachother. I thought she was female but Tom knows way more than me so I guess it is still possible "she" is a he. I would prefer not to ship but we could try to work out some type of...

    Young Female Sulcata for Adoption

She would be free to a good home but transportation would need to be arranged. She is only about 7" now so in no huge hurry. Just want her to go to a great home.

    Young Female Sulcata for Adoption

Hello, I took on a rescued sulcata a few months ago. I live in WI and hate the thought of her being inside 8 months out of the year. I would love to find her a good home where she can be outside year round. If you are interested please contact me!

    Box Turtle Friends?

I didn't want them to fall into the deep side of the pond so I left it raised.above the substrate. The orange thing is an upside down paint tray for them to use as a ramp to get in on the side by where the bricks and rocks make it easy for them to get in and out. I have some leaves in there...

    Box Turtle Friends?

The preferred temperature for both seem t to be about the same as well as liking damp woodland areas with lots of leaf litter. Both are supposed to be fine in groups. Diet seems about the same. The only real difference I can find is the wood turtle is s bit more aquatic so I'll need to get a...

    Box Turtle Friends?

Anyone know if I can house the box turtles and the wood turtle together? They were together at the rescue for months so any possible illness or bugs have probably already passed between them.

    Box Turtle Friends?

I looked up the central american wood turtle and she looks identical to them. Here's close up picture of her head. The markings are the same as the picture Abrams posted above. Her feet are not webbed like a fully aquatic turtle.

    Box Turtle Friends?

Well that explains why she does not want to leave the water.... poor thing had bee living in a 40 gallon tank with russian tortoises and small water dish for months. I am so glad now that I decided to adopt her. Although now I have more research to do and some habitat modification.

    Box Turtle Friends?

They are home and settling in. One was a female and one was a male so that is good news! Any idea what type of box turtles they are? I am confused between an ornate and a western and cannot find any that match the weird red lines on the head like the one female.
