    Sulcata Food Questions

When he is outside, I am watching him every second. I sit in the grass and follow him as he moves about. He is within an arms reach as he walks around the yard. He is little and doesn't go very far. I never leave him outside unsupervised. Some of his plants I've planted myself, like his grass...

    Sulcata Food Questions

He is a good eater! Grazes well in the yard and on the plants in his enclosure. He just really seems to enjoy his once a week "salad mix," so I thought I could mix it up some with different types of greens. He doesn't touch the Timothy hay much.

    Sulcata Food Questions

Neville has Timothy hay, he has plants in his enclosure that are tortoise safe and he eats those (we put in different ones once a month or so), he goes out and grazes in our yard (no fertilizer or pesticides) several times a week. I give him spring mix, kale, and spinach on occasion (maybe once...

    Moving: transporting advice???

Ok, so the seat is gonna be in the sun...But he needs to be out of the sun? I've got three cat carriers and the ferret carrier crammed in the back seat. And I've got my fish in a cooler in the front seat hooked up to an adapter in my cigarette lighter so they can have their aerator. Where would...

    Moving: transporting advice???

In 30 days we are moving 6 hours. What's the best way to move my hatchling Sulcata? Once we get there, I can get his lights hooked up and all of that. I'm most concerned what he needs during the drive. Will he need a light source? Will be be ok in the car for 6 hours in a smaller box with a...

    Taylor and her many pets!

I'm not sure what kind it is. I can ask my husband and find out for sure. I definitely don't want to be using one that is dangerous! If it is the coil kind, we will replace it with a better one as soon as we can get to the pet store (nearest one is about 45 minutes away), which would probably be...

    Taylor and her many pets!

He has a heat lamp and a UVB lamp. My husband did the research on lighting, and fixed that up. He's kept reptiles and amphibians most of his life. He also goes outside, supervised of course, pretty much daily to soak up the sun and to graze on grass and weeds.
