    Disappointed in moderators actions

I recently replied to a passive aggressive moderators post by 1. suggesting how the sentence could be been written non-passively aggressive, 2. illustrating an example of another thread that was similar to mine that did not get the cease-and-desist order, and 3. asked the question why one thread...

    Cowboy Ken's Turtles?

All, I've heard though the grape vine that some folks in the Northwest are going to help take care of Cowboy Ken's turtles while he's healing. I wanted to let you all know that I have another tort being transported from Portland to the Tri Cities via private airplane on Sunday. If any of Ken's...

    Dogs and torts don't mix!

Please, please, please learn from this poor tortoise! He was surrendered after the family dog got a hold of him. I've heard it 100 times if I've heard it once: but the dog has been around him for years and there's never been a problem until today. Thus was the story with this rescue. They left...

Sometimes I can upload a file, sometime not....

1 out of 5 times I try to post I'm not given the opportunity to upload a file. This has been going on for at least a year, maybe more. As I type I have the option of uploading a file to this post. 2 seconds ago I tried to upload a file to a post in the adoptions section and the button is not...

Shell color changes due to sun?

All, I've just taken in a rescue Leopard whose owner purposefully kept him out of the sun to keep his shell very white. I've heard of the sun changing or enhancing shell color but a few questions for those more experienced than me with Leopards: 1. Is this a normal practice? What is the purpose...

    Before and after beak trim

This little Ornate came in last week as a rescue and obviously his beak was quite overgrown and in bad shape. The point on the bottom jaw was poking his upper mouth. Must have been painful. You can tell there is more issues than just an overgrown beak but the first trim was a huge step. He is...
