    baby leopard shell rot

As for the bump on the other tortoise, I tried removing it with warm water and a toothbrush but it didn't come off right away. I just checked on him and it seems to have fallen off now.

Our substrate is damp but not soggy. We usually keep it around 80 to 90% humidity. Attached are better pictures of the area of concern

    baby leopard shell rot

I'll try and get a better picture of our first tort. There seems to be a flaky crack/hole in the black area that @Yvonne G mentioned that isn't showing up on the picture. We are going to separate the tort & treat it for shell rot for now.

    baby leopard shell rot

We have two baby leopard tortoises with shell concerns. The first seems to be shell rot. It is a dark/black pit with whitish growth. Our question is can we treat at home or is it bad enough to require immediate vet attention? The second tortoise has some type of growth/bump on its plastron &...

PLEASE HELP: closed eyes, weak, not eating

Update: Our little one is still here. Tweaked the enclosure by getting a smaller dome for the light fixture so it's not as bright. Have been applying Terramycin and it has worked wonders! Little guy's eyes are open now & he/she moves around a bit. Still hasn't been eating much at all & shell is...

PLEASE HELP: closed eyes, weak, not eating

@Laura lights with the screen? If you're referring to the top of the enclosure we removed that when I redid the enclosure a little over a week ago and only have the foil as a cover. As for the humidity we've been playing around with it to see if there's any change, but so far nothing. We'll...

PLEASE HELP: closed eyes, weak, not eating

82F-94F humidity above 80% Plastron is very soft :( and I noticed yesterday it looks almost see-through/bruised. Scutes look sunken or depressed? Almost like the growth lines are raised.
