What's a type of enclosure that can be set up really fast?

Hi all. I'm moving my tortoise across the country in a month and unfortunately I won't be able to bring my enclosure along. I'm looking for something that I can set up really quick because I don't want my tortoise to not be in an enclosure (he's small enough still to be good in an indoor...

I might have missed something -- how do you prevent the substrate from contacting the floor since it doesnt seem to have a bottom?

Is my CHE safe in here?

I have a socket rated for 150W that I want to put a 75W CHE in. Of course if this was just a 75w light I wouldn't be worried but it's a CHE which I assume outputs more heat. The socket ISN'T ceramic but if it's rated for 150W it should be pretty safe right? Is it okay if I put the CHE in?

How do you keep an open enclosure indoors?

I find it impossible to keep temps of 80s and high humidity without making my enclosure a closed chamber. So how are you all doing it?

    mazuri shelf life?

I bought a pretty big bag of mazuri for my tortoise about 9 months ago. Should I replace it now? Is it too old and has it gone bad? It smells fine to me and I keep it in my cellar in an airtight container.

easy second level for my tortoise?

So I keep my tortoise in a huuuuge aquarium, but I want to see if I can give him a little more room (plus I think it would look cool) by adding a second story. Imagine your typical rectangular aquarium. I want to put the second level right in the middle of that rectangle, with ramps leading down...

problems with CHE getting too hot

I got a nice 75w CHE yesterday and I'm having trouble because it's so hot. I put it in a ceramic socket and tied that to a light diffuser panel with zip ties. I also cover the top of my enclosure with garbage bags to keep in humidity. The CHE is very hot to the touch (burning) and it makes the...
