Since it has been so hot here lately, and I don't have the shade cloth up yet and the nightbox is still undergoing improvements, I have been putting Erap outside in the early morning until noon, bringing him in and then putting him back outside around 4pm for a couple hours.
I have a question. I added a couple red, hard plastic balls in Earp's enclosure. I thought maybe it'd add some enrichment? Earp doesn't seem interested in them, at all... completely unphased. Are there things I can add to make things more fun and interesting, or is play not something tortoises do?

There are two water bowls. One you see and one in the corner. The one in the corner gets shade for most of the day and once I get the shade cloth up, the water bowl in the middle will be under the shade...

Hey, @Tom. Finally getting the supply list for making some night boxes and wanted to know what kind/size hinges and latches do you use for the top of the box? Thanks!
I'm pricing out and planning 3 outdoor enclosures for my two Desert tortoises and the Russian... you wanna come over and help when I get all the supplies!?! :)
Happy Birthday!
With the gorgeous new property, Aldabras and additional wildlife... I'm surprised you haven't been contacted by like National Geographic to have your own TV series. I would watch the heck out of that show!
