How often should I be trimming my Hermanns nails? I took her to a vet and was told "you don't need to"??? I have a hard time believing that one. Also, any tips on what type of clippers to use? Thanks.

My tortoise is still very young (14 months old), so I know sexing can be a challenge. Any educated guesses? P.S. She/he just had a bath, so the "glisten" you see is water droplets. Thanks for your help. : )

Hi everyone. I have a one-year old Hermann who I have religiously bathed/soaked every day for 15-20 minutes since she was a hatchling. Now that she is a year old, growing and eating well, can I cut her soaks down? I have found conflicting info on the web.

I just found out that my local Save-On-Foods carries dandelion greens in their organic section. Also, Planet Organic (in Edmonton) and some Safeway stores are also carrying it.
