Hey guys, I feed my Kinixys once a day, a quarter of an apple (cause anyway, that's all he seems to eat in a row, if that much) or that much of veggies and a finger sized sardine or another bigger fish but in a finger sized slice to my sideneck Pelusius turtle. I curious though, how often...

I'm curious how old is my Kinixys. Since I rescued him I have no idea whatsoever how old he is. Is there any way for me to know the (approximate) age? Like by posting carapace photos or measuring him? Something? If there is, instruct me and I will do so! I reaaally wanna know!! :rolleyes:

Poor thing! Those aren't good conditions at all. Great advice already given by Jacqui. I'm nothing close to an expert in turtles, but surely someone else will help you out on this... Here on TortoiseForum there is a thread for turtles, search there for indoor habitats and info on where to buy...

Updating on this, I managed him to eat banana so far, but he wont eat veggies :c Only sweet stuff like, in this case, fruits... I know apples are one of the few fruits its ok for them to eat a smore than just a treat, but I really do want him back to eating mushrooms or to start eating...

My kinixys nogueyi spent 6 months refusing to eat (and literally crawling over) anything else than "tertúlio", a species of mushroom we have here in Angola that they usually eat in the wild. Very rarely he would eat a biiiit of carrot and melon. He once or twice ate some maracujá leafs cuz...

Thanks for the help! I was quite unsure between which kind of Kinixys and even checked on some pictures, but none I can recall was Nogueyi ._. Didn't even know of that one... Either way thank you so much! Is there any way I can possibly figure how old is he? Just curious really... And...
