    EUREKA

ok, I have done it ! I no longer need to feed my 4 turtles (pelusius nanus) because I added shrimp to their habitat. Together with the filter the water is so clean that the shrimp multiply at the same rate as the turtles eat them ! I have achieved an equilibrium. How about that !

Hello, It has been some time since I posted, but my tortoise Taco is doing well. She has gotten huge! She lives in a greenhouse during winter but lately she is a little lethargic, not eating as much as normal and not moving around a lot. I thought it is because it is winter here (but temps are...

    Updated table

I have made some updates to Taco's and Marshmellow's table based on what I have learned and watching them wobbling around their table. I have added more plants on the table in order to disturb their sight lines and they love sitting underneath the leaves. I change the order of the plants around...

Hello, I received 2 leos app. a month ago and I have completely fallen in love with them. I have been reading a lot about them and I got completely obsessed with the issue of pyramiding. I can easily deal with the food issue, the UVB light is not a problem, but creating a humidity chamber on...

    Is more grass better?

The torts really appear to like the grass in their enclosure and they are eating it a lot. Since they appear to like it so much I was wondering if maybe I should make the middle section between the ramps on the lower level their yard? I would then prob. remove the grass from the "mezzanine" area...
