Too good to be true Aldabra?

then I’d probably just have a hole in the wall at the bottom of the steps from when they can’t stop at the bottom

Too good to be true Aldabra?

I appreciate the info but I can’t have anything that big. Maybe for a short time but my leopards spend the winter in a room in my basement. And pretty sure I can’t carry one of those up and down my stairs for long.

Too good to be true Aldabra?

I emailed him to see what they say and see if they can send more pictures, because let’s face it, I don’t have anyplace else to be or much else to be doing.

    Update on my Leopards

Needed to take some updates pictures. Been a while. So here they are. I *think* the big one (2165 grams) is a female: And I’m pretty confident this one is a male. He’s smaller (1550 grams), but he decided to show his stuff the other day while soaking.

    Update on my Leopards

Thanks. Would be cool to end up with a pair but won’t hold my breath. Think they’re finally settling in to the new digs. They hid a lot for the first week or more. Now they’re out a lot more. Can’t tell if they use the back half of the room much but they don’t spend all their time in the hide so...

    Update on my Leopards

Some updated photos. Will have to make sure I check their weights soon since it’s coming up on 2years in April. And just keeping tabs on tail sizes, first up the light one: And the darker one:

    Beginnings of a tort room

And the inhabitants who in 1 month from tomorrow will have been with me for 2 years. Cool how different the patterns/colors are and I think I've done pretty good on the shell smoothness, by no means perfect but not too bad?

    Beginnings of a tort room

Been a bit behind on updates. Got the tort room set up a bit more, enough for them to move in. They seem happy so far. First couple days I was worried as they didn't eat much but guess they got adjusted as they're back on full feed. Still working on a good way to keep the shower pan liner...

    Beginnings of a tort room

At our old house at one point I had pretty well taken over the basement with ball pythons. I had hundreds. So getting approval for this little odd room as a tort room was nothing compared to that. She is also less put off by tortoises than she was snakes.

    Beginnings of a tort room

Ditto to that. Mine takes off in the summer and then nearly goes dormant in the winter. I'm hoping this grow light will help with that and so far it seems to be. I've gotten new pads starting in several spots so we'll see how they develop under the light. But every bit of growth you see is...

    Beginnings of a tort room

Glen Carbon IL is correct which is basically a suburb of St. Louis. I commute into downtown St. Louis for work and I kind of figured that nobody knows where Glen Carbon is so I say St. Louis. I do plan to keep it up to date. I thought I had taken pictures of when it was used for storage and...

    Beginnings of a tort room

I live in St. Louis so there's going to be a lot of the year I'll need to keep my leopards indoors. They're still quite small so they're in an enclosure in my office currently but I've been slowly accumulating supplies and equipment for my room. When we bought our house it had a partially...

Not All Tortoises Will Eat Mazuri

Mine (leopards) are the exact opposite. Mine come running for Mazuri and avoid the Grassland pellets even when I try to mix the two they pick out and eat the Mazuri and avoid the Grassland. The also completely ignore LS.

    Baby Grapes?

On the topic of grapes does it matter what kind of grape plant? The rural king near me has grape cuttings for sale for several types of grape, both green and red and a variety of each. I thought about picking one or two up and starting it but didn't know if type mattered at all.

    Update on my Leopards

Thanks. I think it's just variation because both came from the same breeder and the one that's coming in the lightest now originally started the darkest. But I'd defer to somebody with much more experience than I.

    Update on my Leopards

Tomorrow marks 1 year since these two arrived in my possession so I figured I'd post an update. Figure if I tried to wait til tomorrow I'd forget so one day early will just have to work. Tort 1 (weighed 32 grams 364 days ago) - Tort 2 (weighed 37 grams 364 days ago) - Guess I can't...

    Opuntia and Mazuri (not LS)

Anybody happen to be selling both? I seem to be able to find them individually but would have to pay shipping from 2 places so thought I'd see if I could get both in one place. Thanks.
