They are stupid...have a paradise and rather destroy it. They can eat chicken. It don't take years to grow them. Americans eat it everyday.

Its a real shame what the people of Madagascar are doing to the radiated tortoise population. I would love to have a pair to breed and build there population. They are a lot better off with the tortoise lover than to be eaten like chicken. The stupid people of Madagascar could breed this guys...

Yes its insulated and yes its been cold this winter. They can't wait for summer. I've got to get more pictures of my aldabra's, they are a lot bigger now. Here is some pics of when I was insulating before I put up the osb.

I have my tortoises in a 8x12 tortoise house and I've used sand on a rubber floor so waste clean up is easy with a scooper. The problem is the sand dust up the place and is about to choke me to death. Since I have asthma it doesn't take much to set me off. I thought of using hey or mulch but...

I have two 250w heat lamps hanging in my barn and I mounted a small fan on the light that blows air over the bulb. It spreads the heat all over the barn. Its a lot smaller barn than yours but it works pretty good.
