When I was seeing people make tortoises boxes for the winter on the forums they are using Plywood that I am guessing is a 4x8 ft floor. Is that not for leopards and sulcatas.

Here in Arkansas I bring these tortoises indoors when it's below 60 at night and below 70 in the day. Usually, that means Nov-Feb. I have been laying down Mulch/Topsoil about 1-2ft thick and giving them half of the garage (that I should say I heat and use UVB lights from lightyourreptiles)...

I should also say this is their night house most of the time. Every day that it gets over 70 I bring them back out which is alot of October and even some of November and then March.

For that the Cypress mulch acted as an insulator. But the rubber floor mat under that is a great idea also thanks.

Glass has not been an issue with any of my tortoises. I have had hatchlings for about 7 years now. I know some long time keepers say no but maybe mine are just really smart. :)
