Try giving him a soaking in warm water, that always gets Tiny to poop. As for urine, Tiny only seems to pee on my husband. lol Glad your little guy is perking up some. Good luck!
You can also go as far as seeing if they have the correct permits to have a live reptile in a non-pet store. Fact is, any egg bearers can carry salmonella, and I'm betting the owner doesn't realize that. I wouldn't want a herp at a toy store with small children running around.
Thanks guys! I found that I can put spider plants in his enclosure which is awesome since I have a ton of those!!!!! Looks like I have a project for Tiny's enclosure on my next day off. :)
Okay, I feel stupid but I need some clarification here. On this website: http://www.africantortoise.com/edible_landscaping.htm how do you tell if something is poisonous to your suly? And, if there is no * next to the plant, is it okay to have in the enclosure?
I want to add some real...
The MVB bulbs I have found are available in 100w and 125w. They also state that they are good for one year of average use, or six months of continuous use.
Very cool! Thanks guys! I have a giant Christmas Cactus that I will break off a couple parts to plant in Tiny's enclosure this winter. :) Since it'll be free I don't care if Tiny stomps them to death. lol
I've found a little, but I just wanted more info, or at least verification that what I found was correct. :)
Here's Lucky! Crappy cell pic, but that's all I have right now.
Thanks everyone! He/she is quickly becoming a spoiled brat. lol But that just means it is fitting in with all the other critters here. :D I really can't wait until she/he gets bigger. I'm so afraid of breaking it when I handle it.
I won a Steppe Runner in Reptiles Magazine's contest, and I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. I am having no luck finding info online, can't even find out how to sex the little one. It is eating, pooping, and doesn't mind being handled in small amounts, but it is...
After his soak Tiny got a little snack. He is too cute!!!! He's also gained 3gr. It's not much, but I'm counting it as a win! :D
Here's Tiny!

Okay, I know with snakes if they are shorted food when young, then given proper feedings they will catch and still reach their proper growth. Is it the same for tortoises? Or are the shorted ones always going to be smaller?
