Anyone close by? Sorry, I don't have the link. A nice looking pair (sigh) for $300.

    Last few days with Olga

Some of you may remember my post about how my group of RTs failed. As a result, am rehoming Olga, the huge old lady, because she cannot live with the others. I have no room for anything more than an inadequate habitat for her indoors - and indoors is 3/4 of the year. She has a home lined up...

    Happy anniversary.

Started my 40th year living with Johnson, my old gulf coast box turtle. He's about 75 years old. My heart still lifts every time I see him.

    Problem with some new posts

I can see that a new post has come in, but when I try to open it to read the entire message, it's not there. Sometimes it shows up hours or days later. Most posts open with no issues. Any ideas? Does this happen to anyone else?

    Flashing turtle

Johnson, my 75 year old gulf coast turtle, let it all out in his soak today. I didn't take a picture because my granddaughter was with me & I didn't want to make too big a deal of it. It's all safely tucked away again. I'd seen a flash decades ago, but it wasn't anything like this. This was so...

    Reptibator

I have a reptibator incubator, and I'm about to give up on it. Several clutches of RT eggs & one of box turtle eggs, and no hatchlings later... The temps cool down before the heat kicks on again, and I'm sure the setting doesn't reflect the true temp. I didn't trust the thermometer I used to...

    Filter stopped working

I have been running a fluval 4 plus in my ambo's indoor pond for 5 years. It's been great, keeping the water clean, needing the filter cleaned every week or so. An easy thing to do that generated nutrient rich water for the house plants. Today, after its cleaning, it didn't work when I plugged...

    Hello everyone.

I've been living the turtle life for 36 years so far. Dr. Johnson, my old gulfie, is around 70 by now. The others, Mrs. Thrale, Queenie & Madame D'Arbley are much younger. The RTs, Uncle Vanya, Aunt Maude, Olga & Anya, are doing their best to be a breeding colony & one day I'll get it right. One...
