That's what my husband said we should do.
I'm wondering if she doesn't know how to climb because she's been in a glass tank her whole life. There are scratches on the wood walls from her nails and they aren't any taller than her mid shell hight. [hr]
I was looking at those pictures again and...
Sorry - forgot to say hi and welcome when I butted my question in up there!! ;-)
You'll love this forum. There's so much crapy information out there that I don't even bother to look for info outside this forum anymore. There's always someone here to give you advice and info! Enjoy!
Ug!! I'm still trying to figure out how to quote people.
Anyway - so do I need to worry about the sides if she hasn't even tried to climb up the walls?

Better watch her close, the sides are not tall enough. She will be able to climb out of that.
I agree... Those sides will be easy climbing, especially for a Russian
I don't know how handy you are but we made one this past weekend for about 40 bucks. It's just a piece of plywood and we framed the sides tall enough so she can't climb out.
I looked around for a pre made one and this was the best solution because you can make it the exact size you want.
That is a UVB tube under the hood. I've worried about the night heating also but it only goes down to about 65-68 at night so I think she's good without anything at night.
I'm a newbie but I've read the T Rex is better? The reviews on the other one isn't very good - they said the bulb is different now and the company lowered the UVB output.
Anyway, If I use one of these bulbs, I don't have to use the UVB bar anymore? What do I put for light, etc on the other...
