    Any Michigan sully owners

Not a sully owner, but a cheerful wave from Washtenaw! We have leopard tort. Rumps is 8" and has a 12' x 12' pen outside. He comes in the evening. Winter - we are trying to find a way to maximize is roaming area in the house. ~Marka 3.0.0 offspring 2.2 nieces and nephews 1.0.0 leopard...

    Growth lines - convex, concave?

Rumple, our 7 yr old leopard, has been home with us for just over a month now. He's put on ~80g. We can see new growth lines. Are they supposed to be slightly raised? Or is it pyramiding? ~Marka 3.0.0 offspring 2.2 nieces and nephews 1.0.0 leopard tortoise "Rumple" 0.0.1 cherry head...

    Feeding an 11 lb Sulcata

Rumple would prefer to eat all day, and I let him. He gets a "Breakfast" after his soak - organic greens, and a succulent 2-3 times a week. If the weather is nice, he gets to graze in his weed patch all day. If not, he gets "Elevensies" and "Tea" - smaller helpings of greens & wheat and oat...

    New to Tortoise Forum

Welcome! This is a great place to get the advice and know how! Here is an (unsolicited) piece of advice: Consider an older tort, especially if you haven't been a keeper before. It surprised me how hard it was to keep the humidity up in the habitat and if I had a hatchling, he would not...

    Latest two babies

Adorable, Greg. Do you need a nanny for your youngins? I would love to care for tort babies - but no room at the inn :) ~Marka 3.0.0 offspring 2.2 nieces and nephews 1.0.0 leopard tortoise "Rumple" 0.0.1 cherry head redfoot arriving soon

    Michigan? Hopefully.

I foresee a meetup! I was bemoaning the fact that we don't have anything like the CTTC here in another thread. Maybe we can start the MTEAPS (Michigan Tortoise Enthusist and Anti-Pyramiding Society) or maybe just call it the cult of Tom ;). Lol
