I thought so too, based just on the shape (U vs V), but the tail is so short and there is no concave shell underneath - so kinda confused. At 6 years old, I figured those things would be more obvious?

Right Katie. The 'what they do in nature' bit just doesn't hold water. Most reputable and experienced snake owners feed pre-killed rodents. Now if you are OK with being all natural, and letting snake mites take over, predators have access to it, letting a rat chew off your snakes eye, etc...

I mix my chicken poo in my composte bin. Good stuff. But definately composte it well before using.

Understandable. My wife and I both had rough childhoods. Especially my wife. We chose to learn from the lessons instead of allowing them to hold us hostage and maybe even repeat the same mistakes. And we both try not to live and make choices based on fear and 'what ifs'... It isn't easy...
