I have yet another question for you fine ladies and gents of the tfo community, I want to let my tort wander around my living room since its cold out and i don't want her gettin too couped up in her tank. Is this ok? And if it's carpet will that pose any problems? Thanks in advance!
My tort got her first check up today and the doc gave her a clean bill of health. She's still not eating though and the vet said he thought it was because she was confused and trying to hibernate. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Also i still dont have a name for her yet haha. I'm thinking...

Honestly I'm not 100% sure unfortunately. I bought her from a pet store and from what I read ones from a pet store are usually a little older. Hopefully ill have pics up soon

I live in the black hills in south dakota and the humidity around here is really really low. Ive been havin trouble gettin the humidity up past 30% or 40% for my russian tortoise. I have moss in the tank and i mist it 3 or 4 times a day but it still dont work. Does anyone have any suggestions...
I can't remember what its called but I bought at petsmart and it kinda looks like mulch to me. And I had read something to that effect with the plants so I guess ill keep an eye out ti see if she starts chewing on em and take em out if she does
The basking lamp keeps her around the upper 80s and the other one keeps around seventy...but I've been up reading all night and I think I'm gonna go to the pet shop and get an actual UV lamp for her
