Just lots of weeds I collect from trusted friends yards. Collard, Turnip, Dandilion and other greens. They also get a few hours a day each to graze and sun.
Thanks Tom.
So is Morty growing abnormally fast or only unusually fast.
He is starting to come out of his shell. So to speak. Showing more interest in people. He is starting to recognize seeing me equals food so he is happy to see me.
Kobe is now 5 9/16 inches long. She has grown from 40g to 598g or 1.32 pounds in the year I have had "her".
Mortimer is now 6 7/8 inches long. He has grown from 55g to a wapping 1144g or 2.52 pounds since I got "him".
Nice job.
I'll have to add that to my things to do list next time I'm in your neck of the woods.
I hope Echo appreciates what you went through to get tort goodies.
So far I haven't been found out when me and Dexter go on early morning raids.
Many of my neighbors have grape vines and...
I used 50/50 top soil and peat moss.
I planted it with a blend of grass seed that should start coming up in a week or so.
That bird feeder is constantly covered with Goldfinches year round.
They go through about 20 pounds of thistle seed a month.
They are so ridiculously cute and fun to...
They are cuttings from the Jade plants in my backyard. It's a succulent that goes nuts around here one broken little piece hits the ground is a new plant.
I put 3 inch stainless screws through chunks of old nylon cutting boards and used them to anchor the plants.
I have some in The Trash...
Agreed.
I just finished the box last weekend and the hut today.
I threw in a few things I had on hand for a photo op.
I am far from done.
I'm either going to add a grapevine arbor or a little redwood trellis to cover the right 1/3.
Fortunately the weather here in San Diego is pretty mild...
That's my bearded dragon's sun room. [hr]
Thanks.
My neighbors think I'm nuts.
Is it ok if I pull your weeds?
Would you mind if I trimmed your palm?
Had some scraps of Teak wood seemed like a fun project.
I would start with about an hour at a time and slowly build up to all day at about a year old.
Build some kind of box or use a plastic kiddie pool that you can put damp substrate in. Plain dirt is fine. Make sure there is some shade and a hide. Put some kind of chicken wire top on it to keep...
I wouldn't use any Compact Florescent. They have been known to damage young tort's eyes.
Either use a long strait type florescent tube or a Mercury Vapor Bulb.
The MVB will provided both UV and basking heat.
Also if you can get him natural sun at least 3 days a week artificial UV is not...
Once it has cured it is totally inert.
The friend I got it from works on yachts . the stuff is designed not to break down in a saltwater environment. My friend literally makes saltwater fish tanks out of it.
A little damp soil is not going to hurt it.
This stuff is like liquid glass.
If you really want the best possible stuff for a perminant build this is the stuff
Two coats literally turns plywood into a fish tank.
You can get it from West Marine.
It is expensive though over $100 for a gallon kit. It will last indefinitely.
I realize I am one of the lucky few.
I actually found the person Angela speaks of.
The trick I found is to fall in love with your best friend.
25 years ago I needed a place to stay and she needed help paying rent. We met through a mutual friend and became roommates.
We soon became best...
He is a little over 10 months old.
The Marine he is going to is a double amputee with a son that has MS.
He is trained as a general companion dog.
Others in the program have more specialized training for hearing or vision impaired vets.
One of my neighbors that just lost two golden retrievers back-to-back. Both very young. One from cancer the second from a heart attack. They weren't ready for a new puppy yet so they got into a program where they house service dogs that have finished training but are waiting for their new home...
