I was digging up some redfoot eggs one of my females layed yesterday and it appears one of them hatched! Lol
Ok, I guess it was just pure luck that she layed this clutch on top of one already incubating in the ground :)

Someone posted a pic today of a Redfoot and was concerned about white spots on the shell. I explained that it was called(Scud) and it is easily treated with antifungal cream(athletes foot cream, jock itch cream). It is believed to be caused from the soil and is not life threatening.

This year was very rewarding for me regarding my Platynota production. I was able to produce a few more babies than I did last year, but this year I think the quality was just spectacular.. I also got hatchlings from my widest banded female .Here are some of my favorites. Nice crisp banding...
