My tortoise is now about 3 and a half years old. After a bit of a rocky start (first time tortoise owner with a lot to learn!) things seem to have been going smoothly for the last couple of years.

Fortunately I keep my room nice and warm anyway, ambient temperature stays nicely at 28°C on hot side and 20°C on cool side since I made some simple changes. Humidity now good too (about 60-80%).
Will definitely up those basking temps tomorrow!
As for eating, just got home to find an empty plate...

The person who wrote the care sheet mentioned they wouldn't recommend topsoil. I have seen so many people on here recommending it though, so I have just put some in the enclosure.
I have ordered orchid bark to come tomorrow too.
What are your thoughts on topsoil? Will it damage...
Thanks! So today I went out and bought some top soil for a new substrate, couldn't find orchid bark but have ordered some to come tomorrow. Hopefully that'll help with the humidity.
