have a question about age and breeding

Too young, too small usually the earliest is 10 inches. They probably wasn't mating, just a dominance thing. Keep a eye on them as one may not be getting enough food and could be bullied by the more dominant animal. It might be time to separate them.

    Food

Ok, I know people will have different opinions here, so here is my take. Open the bag and get a handful of food and give it the ole sniff test. If it smells rancid, i would just toss it. I wouldn't risk my animals. I believe it is the oil used in manufacturing that turns rancid not the grains.

    Tort not growing.

I would try soaked Muzuri, chopped collards fine. Feed after a good soaking, even my most finicky eaters go for this combo!

First of all you need to clarify a few things, space, how much do you have available? Hybrid Eastern box turtle

Generally speaking, hybrids are legal to sell. Just double check your state laws to be on the safe side. Also be sure to retain all sales documents for your protection in case you are ever questioned.

    My new tortoises smell funny

I am guessing the smell is due to how they were previously housed. I would soak them individually, give them a scrub and let them be. I am sure there will be minimal odor after they dry off. They are in good hands now and I am sure will receive the best of care.

Try to fry or poach an egg in the microwave and you will definitely never forget what happens! It might just take you most of the morning to clean the awful mess out of your microwave. Now I just learned a trick to hard boil eggs in your oven!

Yep, you definitely like free range eggs, especially if you like really dark yolks. My only problem with fresh eggs is the difficulty in peeling after they are hard boiled.
