Strange white material on box turtles back stump

I'd recommend the same thing. Keep it clean with a topical solution, and keep the turtle in a sterilite environment with paper towel as substrate.Looks like it's healing. I'm not one to go against vets; you should always work with the vet and use good judgment, but usually the injections are...

Strange white material on box turtles back stump

Looks like it's healing. The best thing you can do is keep in clean with something such as povidine iodine, chlorhexidine, or even diluted peroxide

I Dont Think Anyone Will Fall For This Scam

If anyone has the common sense God gave a rat, they shouldn't fall for this. Maybe if enough people say something... FLY RIVER TURTLE.. AKA PIG NOSED TURTLE https://petclassifieds.com/ad/fly-river-turtle-aka-pig-nosed-turtle-2620483/

    Found a baby turtle

How long have you had him?Turtles will travel a distance to reach a body if water. The moms wonder when they lay eggs, and the babies usually/sometimes, are stimulated by rain to hatch and travel.

Send The Ladies My Way...for the tortoises...maybe

Well aware. They had more than enough space in the 40ft enclosure. They didn't bother one another aside from Boris over food.

Send The Ladies My Way...for the tortoises...maybe

The boys are still in the brumation house, but I let them out on warmer days. John is the one in the front.

Send The Ladies My Way...for the tortoises...maybe

Keeping the male Russian torts seperated until I gather the right ratio of females, or until I build more individual enclosures. Except John...John sucks, but I love him. He'd rather fight than eat. I have one docile male I've had for years named Stubs, has always been docile and gets along...

    Pallet Enclosure!

Rats are resilient. I rarely see them because of how man owls, oppossum, hawks and fox we have. How is it during the summer. Maybe you can build something on a smaller scale with a mesh bottom and double mesh top. I know rats can figure anything out though so it would have to be like a tank.

    Pallet Enclosure!

Works great! I haven't spent any money on this build so I found an alternative rather than going out to buy material like chicken wire and gravel😂

    Pallet Enclosure!

So I needed to reinforce the bottom of the enclosure to prevent digging. I had a gravel pile in my yard, but I used it all. Was gonna use this strong conveyor belt. Same belts us see at the grocery stores and in factories. Stuffs thick and impossible to dig through, but an absolute pain to...

Box turtle eggs denting in on day 54, help!!

Denting this far into the process is a sign of the eggs hatching. The eggs collapse slightly and then the babies slit them open with their egg tooth. Take a paper towel, wet it up, ring it the best you can by hand and lay it over the top of the eggs. You should see babies within the week. Best...
