I have two hermanns tortoises and they are starting to pyramid a little. I have checked temperature and humidity. I put them in like warm water for 10 mins at least 5 days a week and use calcium supplement. How can I stop pyramiding?

I’m definitely going to keep trying. They are really cute and all but I’m not experience at all with marginated tortoises. I might be able to sell them on and get the Hermann’s tortoises I want.

This is the other tortoise definite Male I believe. thank you so much for your help. I’m more relieved I won’t have the stress of the Male being egg bound ?. I’ll definitely leave them separate and watch them carefully just incase.

I posted new pics in the other thread. I think your right. I just thought at the same age why they didn’t have similar tail or size.

I think I believed it was Male because it’s tail is much larger than my Herman’s but much smaller then the other marginated tortoise

Well I guess I’m just wondering do I need to be concerned because she’s so young? And can tortoises lay eggs this late in the year?

Because of covid travel restrictions I couldn’t see them in person so all I got was photos from a breeder. I arranged a price of €350 with the breeder a week ago and then I organised a courier to go up today who payed and collected them and drove straight to me

I just bought a new hermann's tortoise. I don't think they are hermann's tortoises. They look completely different to my tortoise.
