Nope. It was grossly inflamed. I cannot tell if it's better this AM. She came out of her shell just enough for me to see her eye (which is better) but not far enough for me to see the other.

Yes. This other clinic SOUNDS good, but the problem is that the way you find out is by handing them your pet. So I am hoping to be able to avoid coming home with something dangerous, since I don't know this clinic at all.

Maybe. Ugh. There were some wasps out there a few weeks ago but I haven't seen any since then and didn't see any when I brought her in. What can I do in that case? I can't give her Benadryl! I am really pretty sure there is no way she's gonna let me put drops in no matter what.

Well, you are more optimistic than I am. MANY vets who say they treat reptiles do things they shouldn't, and I never just assume. I trust the one I know better, but he's closed tomorrow. And antibiotics can be very tricky in reptiles.

I agree it's unlikely. The flowers were in her house, though, so not a bird, and not a rodent either (she is only out during the day and no rats around here that I have seen--I can't imagine a rat or squirrel would be interested in hibiscus blossoms anyway LOL!). It's a mystery!

It would be a long way to go to spread it or get it stuck accidentally, given that the distance is 20 feet! And it happened twice, so not an artifact. I will lurk and see if I can actually see it happening. :-)

On plants, check out the Tortoise Table, which tells you whether plants are safe to feed, OK to feed in moderation, OK to feed sparingly, or DO NOT FEED. Don't put anything that is DO NOT FEED in or around the pen. You mentioned flowers--make sure they are on the OK to feed in moderation...
