    Microchipping and/or "collar ID" ideas?

Hello, I'm looking at this thread because I would like extra reassurance in case my torts somehow escape their enclosure and need to be found (unlikely, but disasters happen) and was wondering what pet safe epoxies people here would approve of using on a shell. In the meantime, as my babies...

What Should I Know About my Male Sulcatas

Thank you so much! I took one of my males out of their bioactive enclosure and put him in to a sterile environment due to a small cut and he keeps sticking out his penis and excreting clear mucous that coats it-- should I be worried? He left a small puddle of it yesterday

What Should I Know About my Male Sulcatas

Hello all, long time no see. I have recently found out that my two sulcata tortoises are male, due to a very funny story about me not recognizing their penises. For some reason, it never occurred to me that they might be male. Maybe that was my own bias, and I've learned my lesson. Now I'm here...

How do I spot the signs of Eucalyptus poisoning a Sulcata?

I think my tort may have eaten a seed but it was more likely a rabbit dropping. My tort is 3mo. I tried to remove it from her mouth and was too late, it was too far back. I'd like to know the signs just in case and I'll be watching her.

    Is this safe for sulcatas

Wait it just clicked, they can eat mulberry?! Isn't that super sweet? I have a friend with a tree

    Is this safe for sulcatas

I live in the middle of nowhere with nothing but foxtail, Opuntia, a few small flowering plants like dandelion they can eat, and dirt. They are very few living plants here that aren't poisonous to them and one tort hates Opuntia (days of trial and error allowed me to sneak it into mazuri tort...

    Is this safe for sulcatas

I have no idea what it is, but thank you for the advice. I'm trying to see what I have around now that the change in season is killing stuff off

Just curious, why do my babies rock in their shells?

It's like they are building up momentum to go out of their shell or to walk forward haha That being the way theysniff the air makes sense but I think I'd see it more if that was general breathing

Just curious, why do my babies rock in their shells?

They make a rocking motion going a little bit into the shell and then out. They do this when waking up, soaking, being held, eating, but why? It's so cute! I feel like it means they are happy, because they typically end up stretched out afterwards. I looked around a bit to see if I could find...

Haven't seen urates in a while

It's been a couple of days since I've seen just straight urates. I've seen a bit in the poo. He is on pinworm medication. I'm worried it might be a urate stone?

2mo Sulcata Tortoise Shell Growth: normal?

Ah I use drinking water 90% of the time to make sure it's quality. That's for the expert opinion :) and your observation is correct. She was in a dry environment for almost her whole first month (poor baby)

2mo Sulcata Tortoise Shell Growth: normal?

My little one has spots on her she'll that look like watermarks. Is this normal? She made her way onto a welcome mat for this photo.

    Baby Sulcata Yellow Brown Pee

Yeah, because my tort is getting medicine tomorrow and I would like to understand this more. I feel like I got mixed signals from the vets office. :(

    Baby Sulcata Yellow Brown Pee

@KarenSoCal so I was told by one person there initially to wait it out, but then the doctor and I spoke today (tomorrow is the follow up) and said they were planning to give me the medication already so I was confused I guess.
