I do break up big chunks of lettuce and take off stems but she's always been good at ripping up the leafy parts. I change the water constantly but I'm worried about her drinking dirty water or getting stuck when I'm at work so I take it out while I'm gone. It's just not like her not eating...
She keeps making strange noises and opening and closing her mouth. Like smacking without actually eating anything. Only takes a couple bites of pellet food once or twice a day. She is a rescue so idk how old she is. Her poop is different than normal too but I think its from the pellet food.
Hello all,
I have a Russian Tortoise who won't eat out of the blue. She's never done this before. Her last proper meal of lettuce was Wednesday night and since then only eats a bite or two of pellet food. She won't eat anything else no matter what I offer. I've been soaking her 3 times a day...
I'll definitely stop not feeding her two days a week. It was what was said on the internet! I definitely didn't know about the grapes and bananas. She just liked them so much! Once a week or so I would give her a tiny little bit of one or the other. But if it's bad for her I'll stop and try the...
Thank you so much! I'll definitely plant some stuff for her come spring. I live in Michigan so it's not possible right now lol I'll definitely get her some supplements. I truly appreciate the help! I wasn't told any of that but spring mix. I tried researching on the internet but I wasn't sure...
Thank goodness. She also poops in her water and then she tries drinking it. Is this normal? Safe? She might have just been dipping her face in the water but I immediately dump it and then she never wants anything to do with it. She's so weird!
No, I don't give her any supplements at all. I give her spring mix daily except two days a week. Some bananas and/or grapes couple times a week. I just noticed white powder stuff too that I've seen before months ago but didn't pay much attention to it.
I noticed that her skin on the back of her neck is peeling and I've never seen this happen. I rescued her in town about almost a year ago. So any history is unknown. I took her to the pet store and she's a Russian Tortoise. I know it's common for them to shed little bits at a time but this looks...
