So the two red foot torts arrived this morning! in which i am currently in the process of uploading the "unboxing video" on youtube as I type this.

While looking at some of the "ingredients" of a soil mix, "Dolomite lime" was seen as one of the ingredients to be a part of the soil mix.
Would anyone know if Dolomite lime is safe to use for growing plants that may be fed to tortoises (particularly Redfoots) later on?

Hi, I notice some websites mention that Mercury Vapor Bulbs may not work with dimmers.
Has anyone attempted to use a dimmer with a Mercury Vapor bulb or can suggest a method to get the heat and UVB for the tortoises that work with a dimmer?

I'm not sure if this has already been asked but would anyone know a list of plants that are commonly obtainable and not so commonly obtainable that can be "placed" inside the tortoise's enclosure without being eaten by and is toxic to the tortoises?
