    Angle of heat lamps

Hi everyone....I'm confused about the UVB and heat. Aren't they 2 different lights and I thought if you put the UVB overhead on a screen it reduces the rays the tort needs. I have my heat light on a screen facing down and a tube UVB light tied to the side of enclosure but I also have a a clamp...

Hi everyone....do you have space for a 50 gallon rubbermaid tote....I've seen here on the forum people use those. For food my Archie loves the Flukers tortoise diet colored pellets but won't touch the grassland ones even when I disguise them. Definitely soak and break up. I also tried small...

How I Cured my Picky Eater

He's not in an enclosed space just retreats to the corner under a platform and ramp and buries himself in the shavings...the temp is low 70s at night and high 70s during the day. Outside in the enclosure under the light is 90-100 during the day and high 70s and 80s in other spots

    Tortoise doesn't come out

Do you think I should or need to keep all the lights on the whole 14 hours if he is just sleeping in his hide-a-way. I know I should have them on after his bath and when he's eating but I feel like they arent making a difference in his behavior and just wasting electric and wearing out my bulbs
