    Need help identifying baby...

Long story short, a friend found this baby turtle or tortoise in her new, tall, raised garden bed... no way it climbed in there so guessing it either came in her purchased soil or got dropped by a predator from above? I told her I’d look after the lil guy but not sure what species it might be...

    Sleeping Russian

I currently have 2 Russians inside a fridge. 1 sleeps fully inside her shell and 1 sleeps with all her limbs out like you describe. Because she is cold, her limbs are rigid, but will slowly move when touched. Does yours move?

I decided since it was my first year with them, I would not hibernate them this winter. We built a tortoise table with a 100 degree basking spot and a UV bulb and brought...

Locking up Sonoran Desert Tortoise at night?

Hi! I have a couple Russian tortoises and a Greek tortoise that I lock up at night in their outdoor enclosures. My question is, should I be locking up my newly acquired Sonoran Desert Tortoise? He is much larger than my others but we definitely have cats, raccoons and skunks in the area. He is...
