Is there much of a difference between a whitethroat monitor and blackthroat besides just size? I used to have a blackthroat and was thinking of getting a whitethroat and didnt know if they are the same temperament wise or are they different in that area as well?
Why is it so hard to find a baby blackthroat monitor now. I used to have one a long time ago but the landlord of the house I moved into wouldnt allow me to keep it. Now I just bought a house ans am wanting another but cant find one anywhere
I mixed some coco coir in with my cypress to hold humidity better but does anyone else have the issue of their baby sulcata getting the coco coir all over their head and in their eyes to where they constantly rub their face
Okay so called every garden and nursery center within 40 miles of me this morning. No fur bark at any one of them but did manage to find pure cypress mulch. So took out all the cypress blend, cleaned the enclosure and put the new substrate in.
I live in Oklahoma so it's cold outside. So I put these guys by a window to try and get some and went outside and clipped them some weeds from the lawn and they are going to town on it.
I have 3 baby sulcatas and I feed them mixes of dandelion greens, escarole, endive, watercress, radicchio, mazuri, collard greens, optunia cactus pads and wheatgrass. I chop it into bite size pieces for them. I put it in a 4" clay saucer enough to barely fill it. They hardly touch it. No where...
I have 1 tortoise that's only gained 3 grams and the other 2 are the same weight for the third week in a row. I have them in an enclosed chamber and soak them daily. It's 86 ambient and 100 degree basking with an Arcadia 12% for uvb. The humidity stays between 90 and 93%.
