    Aldabra yard expectations

Just curious how your outside enclosure is and how the Aldabra is doing? I myself just built out a similar 24x8 enclosure for my 2yr old. I haven’t transitioned it yet as I’m waiting for the plants to grow a bit. did you put a roof or top cover? Any worry about coyotes or wildlife?

Welcome home Peanut! Need advice please..

Nothing yet... I put a grape by him and I believe he ate it. I started putting Mazuri and fresh greens as that was his previous meal and nothing yet. It was hot yesterday so I put him in his water which he did drink. He moved out of the pool area and basked for a little. I of course spoke with...

Thank you. He is outside in an 8x4’ enclosure. There is a pool section and shade section. I’m just worried if he doesn’t start eating.

Two 40+ year female Negev Tortoises

I do appreciate your concern. These have been in captivity over 35yrs in this mixed substrate. But like I said, there is top soil, sand mix under and also an area with it. They have been happy in that area but may open up the other side depending if I get a male or not. Been waiting and talking...

Two 40+ year female Negev Tortoises

They are specific to the Negev desert in southern Israel. Scientific name is Testudu Werneri. Took me a while to really research them as they had no chevrons and the color difference from typical Kleinmanni’s. Personally trying to reach out in the forum for more info on them or if anyone has a...
